I’m about done with posting ‘sorry for the lack of activity’ style posts, it doesn’t change anything, I record mixes when I get the chance which hasn’t been very often lately and as far as tunes go, I’m in the process of organising tens of thousands of tunes into incredibly OCD style folders whilst slowly getting rid of a load of stuff that is just taking up valuable space on my hard drive that is already beginning to look like it needs upgrading (again).
For years I would always record mixes that would be just long enough to fit on a CD but, like many media mediums (mediams?), they seem to be seen less and less over time. From now on I’ll do either short mixes of around 30 minutes to an hour, mainly because myself and many others like to have mixes around this sort of length to work out/travel to work/have a general time out to, or mixes that are as long as they want to be while I’m still in the groove :)
A month or so ago I did collection of 30(ish) minute promo mixes for festivals this coming summer and I figured it was about time I shared them with everyone so here goes. All mixes are meant to be fun and accessible whilst showing a clear sense of the underground and, of course as is my trademark now I guess, a firm foot in the groove pool ;)

This is a typical example of my pure, club house sound. Deep, driving, techy, tribal, grooving and packed full of energy to keep the dancefloor going all night long (or 29 minutes and 15 seconds in this case).

And now for something completely different…Electro and what I call ‘Blog House’. Big, dirty, pumping energy fuelled sounds that could keep you awake and dancing for days.
You may notice that they are all ‘Promo Edits’, I intend to upload full length versions of these somewhere down the line but for promo mixes I don’t like to make them too long as promoters rarely have the time to listen to a full length mix so I wanted to capture the vibe, and their attention, in around half an hour, did I manage it? :)
